I had a wonderful Valentines day! When I got home from work, a dozen long stem red roses were sitting on my desk! I called Izaak to thank him, and he said he'd pick me up at 7 to take me to dinner.. but he wouldn't say where. I got dolled up - wearing the Guess dress Maile bought me for christmas (thanks maile! it fit perfectly!) When izaak picked me up, he still didn't tell me where we were going! We drove and drove til we got to the Kahala Mandarin hotel. After parking the car, we walked to 'Hoku's' a beautiful restaurant in the hotel. So fancy! I think that is one of the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to! They even gave me a rose at the door!

We got to choose from a list for our 3 course dinner. It was quite fancy food - much fancier than I'm use to. For my first course, I chose this salmon thing.. thinking it was harmless, but it turned into a salmon PANCAKE! it had raw salmon on a pancake. It reminded me of Iron Chef food! Then I chose lobster bisque as my second course - cause I was thinking, its soup, it should be good. But it was frothy! I've never had bisque before. The nice waitress saw that I wasn't eating it, so she let me chose another item - fried prawns. That was pretty good. Then for our main course, we had beef tenderloin - it was the softest beef I've ever had! So tasty too. Then for dessert we had the valentines special for 2. Then they gave us these cookies - like a dessert for our dessert! The bill came up to a whopping $230! Unbelievable! Sweet Izaak paid for the whole thing, saying that Valentines was for me, not him. What a sweetie!

On the way home he gave me heart earrings... what a great guy. Thank you izaak for a memorable Valentines day!
