Falalalala Lalalala

I've been thinking about what my all time favorite Christmas song is.. I really like The First Noel, and Silent Night.. there are so many good ones.

I had my last day at Kahaluu a couple of weeks ago. It was really nice, the pre-schoolers had a little party for me! So much fun (it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh, hey!)

On thursday I had my proposal for my research thesis. I was really nervous. I had 20 minutes to describe my literature review and to go over the methods I was going to use, then the panel would take the rest of the time asking me questions. My presentation went ok.. I tried really hard to control the amount of "umm"'s i used, which I have a hard time doing. Umm, oh yah, then they asked me some questions about why I decided to do this and why I didn't do that. They were really nice about everything and made some insightful remarks. After about an hour, they had me leave the room, while they deliberated if they approved my research. I sat in the hallway thinking, "geez, if they don't approve my research, thats 3 months of research down the drain." Luckily, they called me in and approved it.. YAY! I have to do some changes, but nothing too bad. I have to do it over the break, so I have some school work to do during the holidays.

I'm sick.... I'm lucky its not the flu though, that's horrible. I usually get the stomach flu once a year, but I got the flu shot so hopefully I don't get it. I think the worst part about being sick is waking up in the morning and your head and chest are congested while your body feels drained. I love falling asleep when I'm sick though... It always gives me a great night sleep. I remember one time when I had the flu I was pondering if death would be better!

I love christmas time.. I love to go christmas shopping.. I don't mind the crowds and the parking hastle.. I just love to hunt for the perfect gift. The kind of gift that just screams the name of the person I'm giving it to. I love to wear sweaters and to use my comforter in bed. I love the fact that I bought a heater at walmart last night! Only 4 more days til christmas! I'm very excited. I think I enjoy giving gifts even more than receiving them. I know it sounds dorky, but I do. I love watching the faces of my friends and family when they open gifts. Its so rewarding!

I went Christmas shopping with Kristie today, and we got pushed and shoved by Japanese tourists who thought that Ala Moana was Tokyo.

Is it bad that my heater smells like burning toast? I think it is... I'm going to check on it.
