My parents are on vacation in Vegas, but since I have school, that means no party at Cindy's house. Oh well. At least I can use the dryer, yay!

My one week vacation from school flew by. I went fishing in Hawaii Kai, Izaak caught one fish, and I caught rocks. I spent more time putting bait on my hook than fishing. The hook kept getting caught on the rocks, and I had to break it off. It was still fun. Next time I want to go fishing in a pond!

My friends and I had dinner at Ana Millers on Friday. Clubhouse #5.. always good. Gotta love the girlfriend time. Shopping, eating, and lots of gabbing.

Before I knew it, monday came along, and I had to go back to school. My class didn't start till 4pm, so I got to sleep in late. I had to validate my UH ID, so I stood in a long line at campus center. Since this is my 2nd year of grad school, my ID has lots of validations on it, starting from Fall 1997. I was standing in line with all these freshmen with just one or two validations. I feel old, but kinda proud at the same time. It's like I worked for those little marks on my ID saying I've been there that long. I should frame my ID with my diploma when i get it!

I only have one class, fluency. Im really interesting in stuttering, but I think the area im most interested in so far is child articulation disorders. My teacher is this really old lady who likes to tell lots of stories. The class is 3 hours long, and by 4:30, i wanted to leave. I remembered when I first learned about speech pathology, I thought they just treated stuttering.. its funny that I'm only learning to treat it now. This semester I'm also doing my externship, my research thesis, and audiology clinic. I have a meeting tomorrow about my externship, and I'll find out where I'll be assigned to. It'll either be a hospital or school.

Tonight I had dinner with izaak, lisa, dave, and anthony. Anthony came down from veagas a few days ago. He's a crazy mexican - just kidding 'jimmy'.

I think I've narrowed my research topic down to 2 topics. Either accent modification of Tagalog and Ilokano speakers to American English accent, or Parent knowlegde and concerns of speech therapy. Im leaning towards the accent modification one. That way i'll have my own subjects in my house! I talk with my research chair on thursday, so we'll see.

I want the tendonitis in my thumb to go away! Its killing me. I hurt it when i was cleaning my car today. Over the vacation I went to get the title of my car since I paid it off. She's mine.. all mine!

I guess I'll go now.. but for those who are chicken lovers.. they're back at the heiau :)
